Gerry became a Licensed Broker in 1975 and was involved in residential real estate and sales and leasing of commercial property. He joined Weber Real Estate in 1978, specializing in Commercial, Industrial Leasing, Sales and Land Assembly, primarily in the North East sector of the City.
In 1983 Gerry incorporated CMS Real Estate Ltd. Presently, Gerry has completed many years in Leasing and Sales of Commercial, Investment and Industrial Real Estate. Gerry currently specializes in development or re-development of commercial, industrial or residential sites. Gerry was awarded his Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM) on October 15, 1988 and has utilized his training to provide services in sales and leasing of commercial, industrial and investment real estate.
A CCIM designation denotes a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM designation is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among an elite corps of more than 20,000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation across North America and more than 30 countries.
Fewer than ten percent of the commercial real estate practitioners hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry. The CCIM membership network mirrors the increasingly changing nature of the industry and includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers and other allied professionals. Through this business network, CCIM members successfully complete thousands of transactions annually, representing more than $200 billion in value.
In his capacity as a developer, Gerry has successfully completed a number of industrial commercial projects totalling approximately 678,968 square feet, in addition to 84 residential units.
Gerry is currently involved in subdividing and rezoning a 41 acre parcel of land into a light industrial park of I-C and I-G zoning with parcel sizes of 1.30 to 10 acres.
